Oliver and Jemima witnessed an historic event today - the Olympic torch passed just yards from our house today, so we were all out with flags waving. Oliver was a bit frightened by the news that a flame was about to go past, and tried to hide, but when he saw that it looked like a giant ice cream cone his fears were allayed.

And no doubt you were all suitably impressed (bemused) by the entourage that went with it - not least the corporate open top buses....
And there was me thinking it would just be one proud torch-carrying person with a few flunkeys!
