To help Ollie hone his writing skills in preparation for starting school in September he's been helping mummy write a shopping list. He's doing so well and I nearly fell over when I saw how good his list was (that he wrote on his own with no help):
Crem (cream)
Salood (salad. He was thinking 'oo' as in 'look')
Appl joos (Apple juice)
Milk
Marshmelos (Marshmallows)
What a clever boy. He's really getting to grips with 'trickier' sounds like 'ar' 'sh' and 'ch'. Definitely ready for school. He found out his class this week and he'll be in Dragonflies. He wasn't too keen when he found out as he thought he'd have to dress up as a dragonfly and wanted to be a butterfly! Hopefully things will become a little less confusing next week when he goes for a settling in session. My baby is growing up :-(
