Granny and Grandpa came down today to join us for a lovely visit to Brownsea island. We hired a buggy on the island as we weren't sure Ollie would be able to cope with all the walking, but the only thing to go in the buggy was the picnic bag as Ollie managed to walk the whole two mile loop! Even at lunch time while we all sat down Ollie ran around having races with himself, and even managed a 40minute play on his bike once we got home. Somebody has far too much energy...;-) On the island Ollie helped Granny collect some bits and pieces for the nature table at pre-school, and we spotted some of the lovely resident red squirrels. Ollie showed his subversive streak in the visitor centre though where they have colouring activities, as he chose to colour his squirrel grey! Not sure the Brownsea Island staff would be too happy about that.
